War Years Remembered is an unique war museum based just outside Belfast in Ballyclare. Its collection spans hundreds of years of military service specialising in Home Rule, The Great War, Second World War and Home Front and includes Social History. Items with in the collection tell the story of other countries who passed through Northern Ireland during the war years. This includes American, Polish and Belgian soldiers with the impact they had on the local community leaving a lasting legacy. War Years Remembered prides itself by bring history alive by allowing members of the public to get up close and personal with the exhibits. We cater for all ages and all disabilities. Why not come along for a great day out for all the family.
As we are a living museum we carry out external and internal events throughout the year and our staff my not be available to give you the tour. You are always welcome to visit and we are open through out the year but as we rely on volunteers availability, we ask that you give us a call in advance to avoid disappointment.
